thanks for the info, rich and rob.
that Limberlost Forest Reserve looks like a great spot. i think i might head up that way and go for a spin on solitaire trail.
i head up to that area 3-4 times a year (from ottawa) so i'll keep an eye out for the july/aug/sep long weekends as well.
thanks again,
chris.

Hi CJ,
Sadly, I'm not aware of any running races in the area that weekend. The best resource I've found is the Get Out There magazine event calendar: http://www.getouttheremag.com/
There are lots of great places to run here though. If you're at all interested in trail running, there are amazing trails out at the Limberlost Forest Reserve. I'm helping to organize a trail race there on July 17th – 14k, 28k to 56k distances. There are links to maps and things on the race website: http://thelimberlostchallenge.com/ Alternatively, you could run either the Fairy Vista Trail or the Hunter's Bay trail. If you want a challenging, but beautiful half marathon run, try running around Fairy Lake. Some of the routes are posted here: http://www.run.com/city.asp?de…..tsville+ON
There is also a 9am Sunday morning running group that meets at Tim Hortons on Hwy 60. The facebook page is here: http://www.facebook.com/group……2637837163
Cheers,
Rob.

hi there langtree,
no races that we are aware of around here. currently there is a learn to run group that runs out of river mill park sunday at 9am. the park is downtown. there is another group that meets at 9am at tim hortons on highway 60 by the hospital. they were meeting at arrowhead park entrance, but i think they have moved it to tim hortons.

greetings,
i will be in the hustville/dorset area over may long weekend (may 22nd to 24th) and was wondering if anyone knows of any races (anything from 5k to half marathon) that weekend?
i don't know the area very well but i definitely do not mind driving a bit to get somewhere if there isn't anything going on in huntsville proper.
cheers!
cj.
