Hey Kyra – this sounds fantastic. Would all the training be with you? Can you tell me more about what the professional coaching is all about?
Thanks Justine
Hey Justine
The training is done with myself.
Coaching is different than training.
A coach is responsible to get an athlete in their top form for race day. This goes beyond just preparing the body.
We plan out the big picture. [the athlete's training is part of that large picture] Mental readiness, attitude, motivation, scheduling, daily life obstacles etc…are addressed by a coach.
A coach is concerned with every detail of the athlete's life that could possibly have an impact on race day.
My priorities as a coach are the following, and in this order: #1 Health of the athlete. #2 Happiness of the athlete. #3 The goals of the athlete.
I hope this answers your question.
Cheers,
Kyra
